Last June, a man in his 50s drowned while swimming in the West Sea with his family. The case, which was thought to have been a common drowning accident, turned out to be a murder case in which his son who sought insurance money conspired with his mother, murdered his father, and disguised himself as a drowning incident. However, the coast guard investigate officer found it very unusual for an adult to drown on a mudflat, and it was surprising when he examined the differences of water levels at the time of the accident. Considering the same water level as the date of June 22 when the body was found, many simulations were conducted and concluded that it was not possible at the place where the deceased was found. Furthermore, the deceased man had insurance worth 1.3 billion won. Therefore, Boryeong Coast Guard urgently arrested three suspects, his son Kim (26), his ex-wife A (53), and B (55), an insurance planner who was with him at the scene. Boryeong Coast Guard plans to apply for an arrest warrant for three of its sons and wives in their 20s on charges of murder, fraud and attempted fraud.
