The Korea Coast Guard will dispatch a Special Maritime Rescue Team to help search for missing passengers on the Hungarian cruise ship accident. The Coast Guard said it will dispatch six rescue specialists from the Central Maritime Special Rescue Team to Budapest, Hungary. They are scheduled to leave for Hungary via Incheon International Airport. All rescue specialists are elite members of the team with experience in the search for the Sewol ferry accident and the Oryong accident in the Bering Sea in the North Pacific. Coast Guard rescue specialists will enter the Danube River, where the accident occurred, in consultation with Hungarian authorities, to search for missing underwater and salvage the bodies.
