In order to spread the “self-directed work” culture in the Korea Coast Guard, The competition was held at KCG HQ. The competition, the second of its kind since June this year, was attended by nine coast guard sub-stations across the country. The Korea Coast Guard announced that the "Regional Customized Accident Prevention Activity" announced by the Ganggu sub station of the Uljin coast guard station won the highest score from the judges at the best case competition held at the Grand Auditorium on the 16th. Self-directed work at police stations is a way of strengthening the role of maritime police by setting security goals and taking the initiative in solving pending issues by compiling security demands, maritime characteristics, and opinions of local residents.
